Improve Your Campus’ Energy Performance

There are many opportunities to improve the energy performance of your buildings while reducing energy costs. Use Energy Star’s Portfolio Manager, a free online tool, to track, analyze, and manage the energy performance of buildings. Sub-metering individual buildings is an important step. Cost-effective upgrades projects may include lighting, heating and cooling systems, power management, smart labs, and others. Some projects involve a modest investment and others require significant investments but have higher returns. Cost savings may help provide funding for deferred maintenance projects. ENERGY STAR has a broad range of trainings, tools, and resources. Energy service companies and your local utility will also provide guidance.
